Arina's Story Part IV
(September 2003)

In February Craig & I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary at the Rendevous Restaurant (Russian food) in central New Jersey.

As has been the case in years past, I am fortunate enough to travel back to Togliatti quite often. Here I am in the office in May 2003 with most of A Volga Girl's staff (our second Svetlana was nice enough to take this photo). From left to right: Yana, Svetlana, Me, Helen, and Julia. Both Svetlana and Julia are awaiting the issuance of their finacee visas. Both will be living in Seattle, Washington.

In June we found a young crow in our yard. He appeared to have fallen out of his nest. We have many stray cats in our neighborhood and I was fearful that they would attack this young boy, so for about 1 week we had a new house guest. he became tame very quickly and loved to eat fishing worms.

His parents stayed in the trees around our house and when I would take our friend outside they would begin to call very loudly. When he was able to fly, he rejoined his family immediately. I felt very good about this.
