Arina's Story Part II

My good friend Nadya and I together.

Nadya is  from Novisibirsk in Siberia.  She came to America as recently as November 2000. She and her husband Howard were married on New Year's  Eve!

If you look closely at the signs outside this store, you might think that we are somewhere in Russia.

But, we are standing on  Brighton Beach Avenue  in Brooklyn, New York. It  is home to approximately 75,000 Russians, and only one-hours drive from my  home in New Jersey.
