The Price of Gasoline In Russia

In January 2002 we posted some interesting facts about the cost of gasoline to the average Russian driver. Given the recent 2004 gasoline increases in the USA, we took an April 2004 look at Russian gas prices once again. Here is what we found...

 

The prices shown on the sign below are expressed in Russian rubles per liter of gasoline during April 2004.
exchange rate is 29 Russian rubles = $1 USD
3.8 liters = 1 gallon


95 octane = $1.46 USD per gallon
93 octane = $1.33 USD per gallon
76 octane = $1.03 cents per gallon
Diesel Fuel = $1.03 per galllon
