A Special Meeting In Togliatti

I often look through "VolgaGirl" Success Gallery to see the picture of a smiling couple. I know that their hearts are filled with love and tenderness to each other. I can hardly believe that the man looking at the girl is my fiancé Robert and that very smiling girl is me, Svetlana # 249.

Perhaps some of you happened to know me personally for I worked for "VolgaGirl" as an interpreter for some time. But I bet you never knew the fact that initially I was a "VolgaGirl" client for a pretty long time.

My story, which is not at all unique but real, goes back to the year of 2000. One of my girl friends told me the romantic story of Craig and Arina Rich and mentioned about their company in Togliatti. The story of their relationship sounded like a fairy tale. For me it was like a sort of fantasy and deep in my mind I was pretty sure that I would never get registered at "VolgaGirl". Frankly speaking, I was pretty prejudiced against that kind of marriage service. Above all, I did not feel like "advertising" myself in Internet.

But they say "Never say NEVER"…

One fair day I found myself sitting in their tiny (at that time) office, talking to a friendly and smiling office manager, asking her all sorts of the most serious questions about their company and the way it worked. Her professionalism, confidence and dedication surprised me greatly. Her information was so detailed and helpful that I decided to take my chance. I filled in all the required forms in the most proper way and had my pictures taken at their studio. And to tell the truth I was really delighted with my pictures!

Then I remember myself hurrying up to the "VolgaGirl" office, excited with the news that they had a letter from an American man waiting for me. That was a pretty long letter written in the most polite manner, saying that Mr."So-and-So" was interested in starting correspondence with me. I remember being both nervous and delighted as I was reading the letter. I spoke pretty good English but the letter was properly and thoroughly translated by a professional interpreter from "VolgaGirl". I was extremely obliged to "VolgaGirl" for their translation for I was unable to concentrate on the English text and lines were "dancing and swimming" - so anxious and excited my mind was when I was reading that letter.

Our relationship was in progress and we finally decided to have a personal meeting in Togliatti. To make me feel more comfortable and reduce my stress "VolgaGirl" did the entire job for me and arranged our meeting in a small cozy restaurant…

Probably, now you expect me to say that I am going to marry that very man... You are mistaken! We met a few times during his stay in Togliatti but we were not destined to be together. There was no chemistry between us… No chemistry at all! I was completely bewildered, disappointed and confused. After having written so many letters back and forth we seemed to grow quite fonder of one another but having met him in person I found out that he was not my special one. He was like a sort of stranger for me. We were neither soul mates, nor dream mates and there was no one to blame for that…

Everything, which is done, is done to the best. I am quite certain about it right now! I guess Lord loved me so much that he did not let a stranger into my life.

The most desirable things happen when you expect them less. I was so eager to have some magic in my life but I could hardly dream about meeting a Magic Man! Once I got a letter from a man from Washington State. And shortly after that letter magic things started to happen in my life.

Pretty soon Robert (yes, his name is Robert!) surprised me with his telephone call. Our first "telephone date" was as long as two hours. Strange enough, but I felt very comfortable and easy when talking to Robert for the first time. He appeared to be the most interesting, entertaining, companionable and charming man in the world. Above all, he appeared to be a Real Magic Man!

Can you imagine my surprise when after a few days or so one of "Volgagirls" delivered a bouquet of beautiful roses and a big box of chocolates and many other presents directly to my place? She took a few of my happy pictures and sent them to Robert to see my happy face. We started an active correspondence. We used to send letters back and forth every day for we were eager to know about each other as much as possible.

Those friendly and amiable girls form the "VolgaGirl" office used to deliver me flowers, candies, nice cards, fruits and cute stuffed animals. So now I have a great number of presents from my sweet Robert. And I can boast of having at home a whole collection of my favorite picture puzzles that he sent to me.

We talked on the phone every day. I would like to emphasize that talking on the phone improved our relationship greatly for we were able to discuss many important things, to share our opinions, to make jokes and to tease one another. I learned a lot about Robert's great personality and grew very fond of him just by talking on the phone. Our relationship had grown into a special feeling even before we met. And by that time we arranged our meeting in person in Moscow…

That day, late in October, was the most wonderful day in my life. If I live to be ninety-nine, I will never forget the smallest details of our two-week-long vacations in Moscow. The time I spent with Robert was the most enjoyable time in my life.

I am perfectly sure that I am happy every moment of my life now. That's how I feel right now! My future husband has filled my life with the most wonderful things and feelings. Although he is far away right now I feel his presence everywhere. I have his things at home. I have our common pictures. I keep his presents and his post cards and his letters. Whenever I feel lonely I take them out and reread them to enjoy them over and over again. Above all, I hear his voice every morning on the phone!

He makes me feel so loved and taken real care of. If you have ever been in love then you know the feeling. We are engaged now and I enjoy wearing my engagement ring on my left hand. I am so proud of being engaged to the best man in the world! We plan to get married and start our family life as soon as I get my fiancée visa. I will move to America in a few weeks or so, for my visa process is coming to the end.

I am looking at our picture at the "Success Gallery" and I feel completely happy!

Finally Together In Togliatti

Dear VolgaGirl, thank you for your being.

I found my beloved man on another web-site. We liked each other from the very beginning. Everything was great except for one thing which is very important: I did not speak the English language. I did not think before about how difficult communication could be when you do not know a language. If we were close to each other we could use the language of gestures and sometimes just one look into the eyes of your darling person can be enough. But what should you do when your love is so far away and the only way you can communicate is letters and phone calls?

Then I found the VolgaGirl agency. The girls translated our phone calls. They helped us when he came to Togliatti and I started to learn English (Jeff ordered English classes for me through VolgaGirl). It was very hard in the beginning but you cannot even imagine what it means to talk to your beloved person who is hundreds miles away from you and suddenly you begin to understand him. It does not come right away and it takes time and effort. But if your goal is your happiness then you can overcome any obstacles. At present we communicate without an interpreter. I have been studying the English language for one year now and I will continue my studies in America. We are engaged now. I think in many ways I owe to VolgaGirl my happiness, as it gave me the possibility to comprehend… Thank you for your patience, kindness and attention.

I received the first letter after three weeks when my pictures and profile appeared on the Volgagirl website. I wrote in my profile that I would like to find my soulmate. I think after only exchanging two or three letters we both realized that we found each other. Personal meeting made our feelings even stronger and we decided to get married. Though we spoke different languages, the smiles and laughter said it all. So if you're really serious about meeting that special someone, I just can't say enough kind things about Volgagirl. Without question Volgagirl is the real thing and can make your dreams come true. You only have to get started.
