Hello, my name is Julia.
I would like to tell you our story and to say how grateful I am to the founder of the agency Craig Rich and his wife Arina. If it was not for them…. Though I do not like to think about it this way - 'if it was not for that, if it was not for this…'. Everything happened as it was supposed to happen; in other words what happened is what I always believed should happen, what I always strived to with all my heart and soul and I always sincerely believed it would happen – yes, we did find each other, and I am endlessly happy!!! But I think I should start from the very beginning. And the beginning was on October 13, 1999, when I came to the Volgagirl agency, which only started working at the time, and was collecting the data of the first 500 girls for the web site. I was 20 and I guess at that point I was not even thinking too much about future and creating my own family. Mainly I came to ask if they needed interpreters, as I love the English language and I am crazy about translating. And to be an interpreter was the most secret dream of course! They didn’t need interpreter at that time and I just got registered, as I was forethoughtful enough to take a bunch of my amateur pictures with me. So I got registered and got the ID 201; and I was told to wait until the web site would come into action.My next meeting with the Volgagirl staff happened on June 23 2000, when I, like many other Volgagirl female clients, was invited to the first presentation of the company in Togliatti. This was the day of my lucky chance I think, as the girl, who was supposed to work as an interpreter at the presentation, did not show up; and when Craig saw me, he asked me if I would agree to translate during the presentation. I was extremely happy and surprised and delighted!!! After the presentation was successfully over, Craig offered me to work for the company.
Having started to work at Volgagirl, I realized that most often men tended to choose to write to those ladies, who had nice professional pictures in their profiles. And this is kind of logical, as 'men love by means of their eyes'; and looking for that special woman on the Internet, most of the men evaluate her appearance first, doing so by her pictures! I came to the decision to go to a professional photo-studio and to have my pictures taken. After I changed my amateur pictures for the professional ones, I started getting letters from men. In a whole I was corresponding with 8 or 9 different men (at times with a few of them simultaneously), but every time I felt like something was wrong, like it was not what I wanted.
But the day of August 5, 2001 I will remember for the rest of my life as the most remarkable day for me! I got the letter…. It was different from everything I had ever got before. It was a long detailed informative introduction letter, just exactly like my way of writing letters! And the letter was accompanied by the picture of a handsome athletic man with an incredible smile and with very-very blue eyes!!! Of course, like it often happens, Chris wrote his first introduction letter to many ladies, which, to tell you the truth, upset me first of all a little bit. (I was thinking, 'Well, again I am one of the many, but how much I want to be the only one right away!') But you know, after we exchanged a couple of letters (I replied on the very same day and got his reply back on the next day), I realized that there was something here, which appealed to me so much more than in all my previous correspondences; and I decided just not to pay any attention to the fact that I had to translate some of his other correspondences. But very soon all the other correspondences stopped. Yes, we exchanged nice, warm, long detailed letters every day or at times even twice a day – in the morning and in the evening. You cannot even imagine how much letters can make you feel closer to each other; letters bring you together when you gradually find out that you have the same opinions on many subjects, that you are very similar in many way (your characters, ways of doing things, ways of thinking, the way you were brought up), that you have the same values and goals in this life! Along with the beginning of our intensive correspondence, Chris started to call me home every Saturday. Very soon it became our tradition (our first family tradition as we call it:). We talked 3 hours every Saturday. You might ask what we could talk about for so long?! Well, this is the point – it was as easy to talk to him, as if I knew him for years!!! 'What to talk about' was never a problem for us. Then those talks were not enough. He started to call more often – in the morning, before I left to work or in the evening after I got home. Gradually we came to realize we have fallen for each other; we developed such a level of the emotional closeness, that I felt bad if I ever did not get his letter in time or if we did not get to talk on the phone for some reason. Once when he left to visit his parents for Christmas and didn't get a chance to e-mail me or to call me, I didn't talk to him for 4 days and it was a real torture! Maybe this was the time when I realized how dear that person was to me. On the 4th day of that waiting I myself called to his parents' home, though at that time I did not know if he told his family about me or not. His father answered the phone and immediately recognized me; yes, as it turned out he told them everything and for the whole Christmas evenings all his family was only looking at my pictures and talking about me. You know I felt so nice and warm after that…. Of course since that time, I talk to his family a lot also.
We saw each other for the first time at Samara airport on February 16, 2002. After 6 months of corresponding we met in person, and we both turned out to be exactly the same as we imagined each other to be! Those two weeks we spent together in my city were gorgeous, that was such an unforgettable happiness, which I could not ever imagine!!!
Now I do know for sure that the only thing I want in this life is to be with him, to always be together, to always love him, to take care of him, to support him, and to always make him happy! I want to be affectionate and faithful and patient. I want for us to always love each other and it means this is the way it will be! I do hope that very soon this silly paper process will be over and we will be together forever!
I knew, I always knew it would be this way!!! I did believe in it!! Yes, to believe is the most important thing; you should only have the positive thoughts, only the positive emotions – I can say this is the motto of my life!

It is such a pleasure to come to the agency, as the girls are always so nice and friendly, understanding and attentive. They translate letters in a very nice way, I like their fine translation very much.
I myself have met my John here in Volgagirl (now we are ENGAGED). I feel so easy with him, he accepted me and my kids so naturally.

HAPPY TOGETHER IN TOGLIATTI
Hello Craig and Arina.I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful trip I had to see and visit with my Irina and her family in Togliatti, Russia. I also want to thank you for being so kind as to be my guide for the trip into Samara from New York's JFK. The dinner at the restaurant between Samara and togliatti was great . I still owe you one. I had a most wonderful time with my Irina on my visit and for that I am eternally grateful. I was a little bit shocked at first when Irina offer me a place to stay instead of the hotel but I do understand why she wanted me to stay with her and her family instead of the hotel that the agency had made arrangements for. If I was indeed only in town to see her and not any other ladies then this was her way of feeling secure that I was being honest with her about my visit.
We enjoyed a boat cruise down the Volga river for a 3 day event,and many nights walking to the river and around town just being together,also I made a fool of my self when I drank to much Vodka on a visit to the country to see her relatives. This was a test I believe by her relatives to see if I could feel at home and not to be a false person in their eyes. I passed the test and I was accepted into the family with open arms from them all. I have great respect for the Russian ladies that I have met on my visit . I was treated with kindness from all of the people that my Irina introduced me to.
I asked Irina to marry me and she accepted after many days together.I have made arrangements to go back for another visit in 3 months for a 10 day stay. To my surprise Irina did not want to come to America at first she wanted me to come and live with her. After many days of talking and being with her she finally said she would come to America with me . We have not set a date as of yet to make our trip to America together. We will discuss this on my next visit to see my new Russian family.
Thank you for your honesty and friendship, Your agency at Volgagirl has given me a second chance to have a wonderful life with a younger, smart and beautiful woman. I was treated like a KING by this woman and her whole family and was not asked for anything in return except to be myself, to treat her with Love and Respect. For all of this I Thank You and Arina , and of course all of the Ladies at the Togliatti Office for their fine work.
