Helen was born
and grew up in Togliatti.
On trying her hand in gymnastics
at a tender age of 6, she took up music (playing the piano,
singing in a choir) for the following 8 years, finally choosing
mathematics as a major field of studying in the last two years
of secondary school. Yet Helen found her steady interest
in learning foreign languages and cultures. In 2001 she
graduated from Pedagogical University, the foreign languages faculty,
as a teacher of English and French. For half a year she has taught
English at a secondary school and has been a personal tutor
of English for a year now.
"One day I dare to take
up the challenge of learning some other (one or two) languages,
I hope. I was a child absorbed in reading. Now my
passion and dearest dream is to create a piece of literary
work of my own. May it be the only one (like Margaret Mitchell’s
Gone With the Wind) but
of good quality. Of all trends and types of literature I
have got a soft spot for Fantasy and I do appreciate fairy tales
and detective stories."
Besides being a scribbler,
Helen also likes music, love seascapes and the Moon, and
just adores cats. "I value friendship, as friends are a person’s
insurance in life." Helen joined the company in June
2001.
"I
like meeting new people, so I am especially lucky now, as I have
the opportunity to get in touch with people of foreign cultures,
which makes my job raving enjoyable. What I do appreciate
in people is their readiness to accept culture differences and
tolerance."
